| New York Sate used 140 million dollars of YOUR stimulus money to buy school supplies. In order to qualify for the program you had to have already been collecting welfare and food stamps. Once you qualified you received $200 for each child you had between the age of 3 and 17. You were not required to buy school supplies with the money. It was just a suggestion.
